H.E. Mr. Lay Samkol, Secretary General, attends the Opening Ceremony of the 7th China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Forum in Chongqing, People’s Republic of China
On the morning of November 21, 2025, in Chongqing, China, H.E. Mr. Lay Samkol, Secretary General of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, attended the opening ceremony of the 7th China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Forum, hosted by the China Law Society. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mr. Chen Wenqing, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and President of the China Law Society, and H.E. Mr. Yuan Jiajun, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee.
During the opening ceremony, H.E. Mr. Lay Samkol recited the congratulatory letter from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, addressed to H.E. Mr. Chen Wenqing. The forum was attended by more than 400 participants from 13 countries.
H.E. Mr. Lay Samkol also attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Secretariat General of the Senate and the China-ASEAN Legal Research Center, marking the beginning of cooperation in legal research, exchange and dialogue for the mutual benefits of the two institutions.
